Build Growth. Open Doors. Create Real Revenue.
Jeffrey Michael Capital is hiring a Vice President of Business Development and Growth to help lead the next stage of growth for the firm.
This is a senior-level B2B business development and growth leadership role for a proven professional who can create opportunity, build trusted relationships with business owners and executive leaders, and convert strategic conversations into long-term client engagements.
This role reports directly to the CEO and carries responsibility for revenue growth, new client acquisition, client relationship management, business development performance, and expanded billable opportunity across the firm.
This is not a passive role or a transactional sales position. It is built for someone with executive presence, commercial discipline, and the ability to open doors, earn trust, identify real business need, and close high-value consulting engagements.
What You'll Do
- Drive revenue growth through disciplined, consultative business development
- Own new client acquisition, closed consulting revenue, and business development performance
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline through outbound activity, referrals, strategic introductions, partnerships, networking, events, and executive-level relationships
- Develop trusted relationships with business owners, founders, CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and other C-suite leaders
- Lead discovery conversations around business needs, growth barriers, leadership challenges, operational pain points, and strategic opportunities
- Clearly communicate the value of JMC's consulting services, advisory support, operating experience, and Praxis, our proprietary decision-support platform
- Lead the business development process from qualification through proposal, negotiation, and close
- Strengthen client relationships to support long-term value, retention, and growth
- Help increase billable opportunity by bringing in aligned clients and supporting continuity between sales and consulting delivery
- Help build the systems, CRM discipline, pipeline standards, reporting, and best practices that support scalable growth
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in B2B business development, strategic sales, consulting sales, professional services, advisory services, or revenue growth
- Proven success closing service-based engagements, ideally in the $50K to $250K+ range
- Demonstrated ability to generate significant annual new revenue
- Experience working directly with business owners, founders, CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and other senior decision-makers
- Strong consultative selling, discovery, qualification, proposal, negotiation, and closing ability
- Executive presence and the ability to establish credibility with senior leaders
- Strong business judgment, follow-up discipline, CRM discipline, and relationship management ability
- Confidence in a performance-driven environment where results matter and earning potential grows with performance
- Understanding of consulting services, professional services, business operations, and client value creation
About Praxis
Praxis is Jeffrey Michael Capital's proprietary decision-support platform. It helps business owners and leadership teams gain greater visibility, evaluate opportunities more effectively, strengthen planning, and make smarter decisions with greater confidence.
For the right business development leader, Praxis is a meaningful differentiator. It gives JMC a stronger way to connect consulting insight, operating experience, and decision-support in the client relationship.
Earnings and Opportunity
This is a performance-driven opportunity built for a true business development and growth leader who is confident in their ability to create momentum, open the right doors, build trust, and convert relationships into revenue.
The initial compensation structure is intentional. This is a builder's role, not a maintenance seat. The first 90 days are designed to validate fit, activity, pipeline creation, revenue momentum, and execution against agreed performance milestones.
For strong performers who demonstrate the ability to create qualified opportunity, build trust with decision-makers, and move business toward close, the compensation structure will be reviewed quickly and transition to salary plus commission within the first 90 days. Longer-term opportunity may include expanded leadership responsibility and potential equity participation as sustained results are proven.
A Strong Fit for the Right Career Moment
This opportunity may be especially well suited for an experienced business development, sales, consulting, or growth professional who is entering a new professional chapter and wants a role where performance, ownership, and upside are directly connected.
It is designed for someone with confidence, network, and commercial ability to create momentum quickly, prove value through results, and earn a larger platform as the firm grows.
